Twister

Our house is still a disaster. This is the result of redecoration. I know that everythig will be put back in its proper place and that when it is, it will look amazing. Until then, I must live in the aftermath of the redecorating twister that has hit our house.

Paint Layer the First

The first coat of paint (the color is called contemplation) is nearly complete. It looks good!

I made sure to get a little contrast so you can see how cool it looks.

Let the Renovations Begin

I came home from work yesterday ready to sit on the couch and watch a little TV before going off to do better things. It was not to be. The remodeling of said TV room ceased all notions of rest and relaxation. Where there was a striped wall, there are two coats of primer. The room is a shambles. I will probably go insane. I hope you will all remain friendly as I descend into cluttery madness. When all is done, the room will be comfy and cozy once again; probably even more than it was previously.

Mother's Day

I went to see my mom on Sunday. I brought the gifts to her and the mission was accomplished. She cried. She always cries when we spoil her. She deserves to be spoiled. Every mother does, especially my mother. She raised 9 children to be strong, independent people who use their god given talents to bless the lives of others.

My Friend's Book

A good friend of mine wrote a book with her mom. She has spread the word that spreading the word is okay, so I'm spreading the word. Anything to support a friend! The book is called, A Mother's Book of Secrets. Now, you may be thinking, "What are you doing reading a book written by mothers for mothers?" The first answer is, "My friend wrote it." I am glad I read it, though, because I am a teacher and I work with children. If there are children in your life, at all, reading this book is a good idea. It's a quick read and enjoyable, too.

Thought it would be fun to post a couple pictures from my youth. Back to the 70s. Those of you who never spent time in that decade, cannot fully appreciate that era, but the pictures should be entertaining and they are probably embarassing to some of my siblings. Golly, they were cute.
