We only get it once a year. That's what makes it so delicious. It's a long standing Abel Christmas tradition. Mom makes it for Christmas Day dessert. An almond is hidden inside the pudding (two almonds now, accommodating for the large numbers) and the person(s) who get the almond receive a prize. There is simply nothing better than my mom's rice pudding topped with warm raspberry sauce!

Looks good, what a fun tradition. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the very same thing at Christmas. The only problem these days is that my kids always try to steal mine!
ReplyDeleteI had that at your house and I still dream about it. IS the recipe a secret? So cute. My family gets sarmale as a tradition now since I really don't have patience to make them any other time. :) Te iubesc!

ReplyDeleteI love this every single year! I love how the adults act like children STILL about who rigs the rice pudding and who doesn't.
ReplyDeleteYummy, poti sa ne trimiti reteta?! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks tasty! And by the way I am absolutely loving the Mistborn books you recommended. I have my dad and Doug reading them too! Thanks, Kirsten.
